A community of families dedicated to early intervention in Montgomery County, MD
Montgomery County Infants and Toddlers Program
Continuity of Learning Plan
The Montgomery County Infants and Toddlers Program (MCITP) is committed to the continued provision of early intervention services to eligible children and their families during the COVID 19 pandemic. While the Montgomery County Public Schools are closed, our leadership team has been hard at work planning for the resumption of early intervention services. Our early intervention providers began working remotely from their homes on Monday, March 30. The following plan is in effect to resume ITP services and virtual family coaching sessions using distance-learning technology.
March 30 through April 3, 2020, providers will engage in professional development around the distance-learning platforms and in planning to serve the existing families on their caseloads. Service Coordinators will reach out to families during this time to check in and ascertain each family’s access to the internet and internet-enabled devices.
April 6 through April 8: Virtual coaching visits will begin.
April 9 through April 13: Spring Break, no virtual coaching visits will be scheduled at this time.
April 14: Virtual coaching visits resume.
April 20 through April 24: Virtual coaching sessions continue; projected start of eligibility evaluations of newly referred children and family assessments of the families of newly eligible children.
This schedule may be modified as needed in order to best-serve our children and families. If you have any questions, please email the MCITP Director Mary Manning-Falzarano at email@example.com.
