Parent to Parent is hosting a financial planning workshop at its offices in Silver Spring on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. The workshop is being conducted by Maedi Tanham Carney, founder of M & L Financial Planning, a financial services firm that works specifically with special needs families.

Navigating the Financial World of the Special Needs Family
This workshop examines the Unique Process of Providing and Planning for the Special Needs Family. It is considered a detailed overview of what it means to be a special needs family, the journey, and how completing a comprehensive special need financial life plan will enable the family to be proactive in planning for the entire family’s financial future. There will be a discussion on the basics of what needs to be considered now and when the parents are gone, or if one of the spouses is left solo to care for the special needs family.
